Resumen
The Cemetery José María Azaél Franco in Tulcán city is a tourist attraction visited throughout the year, despite of that, there is a problem related to poor information about cypress sculptures located in the "Park of Memories" this lack of information has generated misinterpretations and deficient cultural diffusion. To solve this problem, it is proposed to document the meaning of cypress sculptures from the "Park of Memories" in the Municipal Cemetery José María Azaél Franco in Tulcán city in order to contribute to cultural diffusion. For this study we used mixed methods research, qualitative research to gather information and determine the correct meaning of all the cypress sculptures and quantitative methods to select the most efficient means of diffusion through measures of central tendency.
At the end of this research, it is concluded that there is different information relating to the same sculpture so it is recommended to use the consolidated information, share it with the author and the Municipal Cemetery staff as well as to provide a photographic record which contributes to sculpture conservation.
